About the Russian Ophthalmology Society
Main Tasks:
· Development of ophthalmology in the Russian Federation
· Creation of conditions for an intensive professional and public activity of its members
· Protection of the rights and legal matters interests of ROS members
· Strengthening the links between science and practice.
The ROS includes 80 regional divisions and more than 9000 ophthalmologists
More than 40 all-Russian and regional scientific and practical conferences are held annually under the auspices of the Society
The ROS is a Full Member of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), has close ties with the Chinese, Indian, Israeli, Brazilian Societies of Ophthalmologists.
The ROS participates in the development and implementation of professional standards, the Federal clinical guidelines, methodical manual recommendations, adaptation of international standards.
